Rosemarie Decatur
Rose Marie Decatur was born in an Atlanta, Georgia suburb. She was the youngest of the four girls her parents, James and Anne. Her older sisters were named Iris, Hyacinth, and Daisy. Her parents were both florists, which only partially explains why they named their daughters after flowers. Witchcraft explains the rest. Her mother taught the girls the craft at an early age, and Rose was an excellent student. Rose worked with her mother on the craft and her father in the family business. Rose could glamour her pimples away and arrange pleasing bouquets by the time she was 15.
Her life was otherwise normal; she was popular in school, and smart. Rose dated several boys and one very memorable teacher. She honed her magic and worked in her parents’ shop until graduation. Her oldest sister was already breeding and Rose didn’t want that for herself, so she set off to Louisiana, separating herself from her family. She was studying to be a nurse at first, but the draw of the parties soon had her being an undeclared student taking cake classes.
Rose floated from party to party, getting so wasted she barely recalled the night before. Her magic suffered, coming out at times when she didn’t want it to. One such time resulted in Rose setting fire to a frat house and it burning to the ground. She stood outside of the house, her eyes wide, but happy. She had always been happiest when she was playing with fire magic. The next day she was horrified at what her actions had caused. The frat boy who had hurt her that night had died.
The young witch became friends with a faery, Celia, and she in turn introduced her to her boyfriend, Jared. Jared was a possible witch himself, and Rose, trying to be helpful, sent him a kit filled with things a budding witch would need and an offer to help him whenever he needed it. She ended up in rehab and then moved into Celia and Jared's place. They moved into a bigger place to keep Rose from sleeping in the tub. She's got a thing for both of them and is friends with them both. She's a happy witch.
