Rules
1. Drama needs to remain IC. Any OOC drama needs to be kept off stream. RP is an escape, and no one wants their escape marred by dramatics that aren’t plot.
a. A note on IC drama, if the party being harassed IC didn’t consent, this is still harassment.
2. If you do have drama, don’t blog, rant, or go off in stream. DM the party you have trouble with and talk it out like adults.
3. DM sex needs to be consensual from both parties. If you take your sex to DM, you need to make sure your partner is all right with this before you send a DM sticking things where they don’t belong. If both parties don’t agree, it’s rape.
4. Don’t be a creep in DM. DM creeping includes, but is not limited to: Asking for sex, asking for weird sex, being disgusting, sending personal info, asking for personal info.
5. When you’re new to RP, it really is understandable to be excited and DM established players for SL, but if you constantly DM, it puts people off. Also, a SL is not just sex, so DMing people begging them to sleep with your character is not only tacky, it comes across as desperate an makes people think you’re going to be clingy.
6. Don’t godmod characters. This is when A says B did something, when B obviously didn’t. You control your character and yours alone. The only exception to this would be if your partner allows you to control their character for a short period of time.
7. Twitter is a fun place where a lot of people play like they are in multiple places at once. A might be at Merlotte’s talking to B and also at Fangtasia talking to C. We know, it’s not practical, but it works. Some people just like to talk to many people at once without it actually being RP, which is fine as well. There are times you don’t want to be talking to people though. Private moments such as showers and before shades are no talk zones.
8. SLs are to be respected. That means don’t butt in. The most memorable occasion I recall is a vampire was kidnapped and a character swooped in and saved her. He wasn’t asked to, it wasn’t planned, and it was awkward. If you would like to be a part of a SL, send an @ or DM the parties involved to see if they need help with it.
9. Pregnancy rules on Twitter
a. Don’t make your character pregnant after an RP breakup to get the character back. It’s desperate and needy.
b. Both parties need to consent to a baby SL. A shouldn’t be pregnant with B’s baby unless B consents. Randomly showing up in stream and spouting that he’s your baby daddy is bad form. And harassment.
c. We all know that people don’t want to be pregnant on Twitter for 9 months. That’s lifetimes in Twittertime. I subscribe to the halftime rule. One RL week=two Twitter weeks when it comes to pregnancy. So, characters are pregnant for 20 weeks and not 40.
d. Babies take time, even if its halftime. The sex to birth in 2 weeks thing is just weird.
e. It is always smart to research pregnancy so you know how to play it out.
10. Rapidly aging your baby or making it do things that no newborn should be able to do is a little scary. Newborns eating steak or a baby going from birth to 18 in a week neither is natural.
11. Don’t stalk characters. If you play with a person with multiple accounts and see them on one, don’t harass them on it to get on the other. Send a message and ask if they’ll bring out the character you’d like to play with.
12. People have real lives. They don’t live to serve you and your Twitter needs. Repeatedly @ing a person when replies are slow is just rude. Patience is key.
13. In regards to Twitter sex, I prefer to pull the shade and be done with it. I will not take sex to DMs. I at times have sex in stream, and I read others who do. There are things that I practice when having stream sex though. Classy sex is sexy. Don’t use vulgar wording, it makes you seem immature. Throbbing, dripping juices, moist, velvet wetness… none of that is sexy. They make me make fun of you actually.
14. Conform to True Blood species guidelines, at least a bit. Vampires sleep in the day and can’t procreate. Bitten weres turn fuzzy. Faeries are not all powerful. Neither are witches. If your vampire is awake in the day, don’t have him walking into Merlotte’s. Unless it’s Bill and you’re walking him into the sun.
15. Unfollow and block are really your friends. No one forces you to watch them on Twitter, so if you see something you don’t like, unfollow. And if someone bothers you past the point of you being able to handle it, block.
16. Have fun!

Guide
1. Role players should always separate their actions. –shuts the door- *calls a cab*The reasoning for this is because when you don’t separate your actions, it can get confusing.
2. Text speak should only be used when Tweeting a text. In everyday RP, “Bb, ur sxy” is not very good RP, I’ve unfollowed text speakers. The only one I don’t get bothered by too much is –smh- but I prefer it to be written out.
3. Smiles have their place in Tweets, but not every Tweet. ;) and D:< is not RP. It is more of an OOC moment. LOL is the same.
4. Tweets should be kept IC, but if you must go OOC, put your Tweets in () or indicate that the Tweet is OOC in somewhere. I’ve seen a lot who are OOC more than IC, and that means you aren’t an RPer.
5. Twitlongers and the like are great when you have something long to say. They, however, are annoying when used in every Tweet. I, for one, have trouble with these on my phone, so I miss a lot of your story. It’s better to use multiple Tweets.
